Optimum design of equilibrium options of the Vlasov-Poisson system by an exterior electrical subject

Summary: A brand new optimization framework to design regular equilibrium options of the Vlasov-Poisson system by the use of exterior electrical fields is offered. This optimization framework requires the minimization of an ensemble practical with Tikhonov regularization of the management subject beneath the differential constraint of a nonlinear elliptic equation that fashions equilibrium options of the Vlasov-Poisson system. Existence of optimum management fields and their characterization as options to first-order optimality circumstances are mentioned. Numerical approximations and optimization schemes are developed to validate the proposed framework.
